Betty Corrello is kicking off the holidays early with her latest book, Back for Seconds , and the only way to celebrate was with an incredible book tour that seemed like it was filled with a special kind of magic that we would expect for the new Cosmo Reads author. Her latest read is all about bringing people together over food, love, and connection, and that’s exactly the vibe that every stop brought.
Oh, and we have to say that every stop understood the assignment when it came to a Betty Corrello tour. Not only were there plenty of adorable pups (dog tax paid below), but there were also some major on-theme manis that will totally inspire you during your next salon trip!
The author is taking us behind the scenes of her book tour to show us absolutely everything that went down from the cute themed parties to the iconic cake that kicked it all off. Hope you saved us all a slice, Betty, because we definitely want one! Scroll through below to check out Betty Corrello’s photo diary from the Back for Seconds book tour!
We kicked off the Back for Seconds tour with an absolute bang at Cupid’s Bookshop in Philly! Tina and her team have curated such a beautiful, inviting space. My in-conversation partner was Morgan Elizabeth , who is… a pistol. Absolutely hilarious and insane. She’s perfect.
We packed the house and then? We got to indulge in my favorite part of launch day: cake.
I ordered this gorgeous red velvet cake from Sweet Box . It was extremely delicious and made a sweet night even sweeter!
My next stop was All She Wrote in Somerville, MA! Another amazing space that felt so warm and inviting. I mean, look at their star employee and mascot, Ruby.
At each event, I had a little bit of a theme going. Somerville’s theme was Cannoli Have Eyes For You. So, naturally, my outfit was vaguely cannoli themed and Christina brought cannolis from Mike’s. YUM.
During our signing, a reader gifted me a hand embroidered tote!!!!! I was STUNNED. I will seriously treasure this forever. Thank you, Heather.
After Somerville, I bopped on down to St. Louis, MO! The Novel Neighbor was my host and Adib Khoram was my conversation partner. This was the first time we met, and I gotta say–—we hit it off. What a dream.
Tyla, a reader, came with themed nails that blew my mind. She was like, “I didn’t even know I could do this.” Talk about secret talents.
Next, I kept it cute and Midwestern by mozying on up to Tinley Park, right outside of Chicago. Love’s Sweet Arrow hosted me and Jillian Meadows was my in-conversation partner. Like any good friends, Jillian and I took zero pics together. But I promise, she is real and she is my friend. I. Promise.
Met another star employee, Elsie. She made my night.
Last but absolutely not least was The New Romantics in Orlando, FL, with Amy Buchanan . The New Romantics feels like a second hometown store for me. The book world has brought me close to so, so many amazing people and many of them are all Orlando-based.
My dear friend Fozi also showed up with gorgeous themed nails! I was gifted cookies by Nat Just Cakes with the cover of my BOOK on them! I signed a book with the entirety of the infamous Jersey Shore’s Letter to Sam! An extremely eventful, memorable night filled with people I adore.
I am so grateful I was able to head out on the road and meet so many amazing, kind, talented readers. It is really the best part of this job. The second-best? Seeing the Free Speech Booth in the STL airport. When I tell you I’m “back in the booth” just know that means I’m here, besmirching my enemies.
